INSTITUTE ACADEMIC COMMITTEE

An Institute Academic Committee (IAC) is constituted to formulate and implement outcome based education for various departments of Chitra P.G College

The functions of Institute Academic Committee (IAC) will be as follows:

  1. To take decisions on academic matters of the College to ensure outcome based education.
  2. To hold meetings from time to time to ensure proper and effective conductance of the academic matters of the College and implementation of requirements necessary to enhance the standard of education.
  3. To act as a coordinating body to ensure proper and effective functioning of Department Academic Committees (DAC) of various departments.
  4. To approve Vision and Mission of various departments as decided by the stakeholders, if there are any changes.

INTERNAL COMPLAINT COMMITTEE

To resolve issues of faculty, staff & students related to sexual harassment in campus. To curb harassment in campus which includes all kinds of offences like humiliating, exploitative language, gesture, hostile, intimidating and conduct.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

To plan, overview and monitor the social responsibility & community services including Blood Donation, NSS activities, camps in campus/ near by villages. Committee tries to settle the issues amicably in a time bound manner. To provide a healthy and disciplined atmosphere.

WOMEN CELL

Chitra P.G College has established a Women Cell in the college campus to empower girl students, to enhance understanding of issues related to females and to make the college campus a safe place for them and avoid cases related to gender discrimination and sexual harassment.

As per Supreme Court of India guidelines, the definition of sexual harassment is broad enough to include all kinds of offensive, hostile, intimidating, humiliating and exploitative language, gestures and conduct.

With a view to taking up women’s issues and problems, the cell aims at creating awareness of their rights and sensitizing male students. It also provides a platform for girl student and female faculty, staff to share their experiences and views regarding their status in the society and to suggest ways to improve and empower themselves. The women cell is headed by Mrs. Renu Sachan.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE

To plan, organize, coordinate and supervise the college’s educational, recreational, social and cultural student activities programs.

To involve the students having passion about various cultural activities related to dance, Drama, Music, Fine Arts, Fashion, Painting, Photography etc. To focus on gaming of all sorts – PC, console, tabletop, casual or competitive, multiplayer or single player.

To promote students who have that fire to construct new things and explore, experiment and innovate new ideas on stage.

FLYING SQUAD

To prevent ragging inside the college premises.
All members are requested to conduct surprised raids in the Campus during day and night.

ANTI RAGGING COMMITTEE

  • To take cognizance of any breach of discipline and suggest immediate disciplinary action in such cases, also taking preventive steps such as issue of notices, warnings, instructions for act of indiscipline.
  • To implement and coordinate anti-ragging measures along with Chief Proctor and members of teaching staff, students.
  • To prevent ragging inside the college premises and formation of anti-ragging squad for the same.
  • To monitor discipline among students’ community in classroom as well as at other places.

HUMAN VALUES CELL

Universal Human Values & Professional Ethics

The Socio-economic & culture progress of any country depends upon its education system. Education does not simply mean acquiring knowledge & information but it also requires its right use within the frame work of ethics & values. Values are closely related with aims of education. Values are ideas, beliefs & norms that a society holds. Mere academic knowledge without deep rooting in human values will only give rise to personalities who may become rich in material possessions but will remain poor in self understanding, peace &social concern.

Value education teaches us that how we do things is more important to our well being than what we do. In fact, it is time we learned that even skills, by themselves cannot produce a healthy society. Co-operation, positive thinking, kindness & other eternal values are essential to a truly productive life & for the attainment of the universal goal of all life i.e. ‘Happiness’ In a sense Value education deals with what is universally valuable to all of us, what is conducive to our collective happiness & prosperity in a sustainable manner.

Objective

The long history of mankind has seen a lot of progress .Though science & technology has led to continuous progress of mankind but we are still facing various problems at all the levels. The individuals are still confused with respect in lack of clarity on life goals, contradictions & stress.

This subject deals with value education means it tells us ‘What is of value or what is valuable to a human-being’. Value thus provides the basis for all our actions and there is an essential relationship between values and skills, which needs to be ensured in any education system.

GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Upholding the dignity of the college by ensuring strife free atmosphere through promoting cordial student-student relationship and student-teacher relationship etc.
  • Encouraging the students to express their grievances / problems freely and frankly, without any fear of being victimized.
  • Taking care of the suggestion obtained from the complaint box installed in front of the Administrative Block in which the students, who want to remain anonymous, put in writing their grievances for improving the Academics / Administration in the college.
  • Advising students of the college to respect the right and dignity of one another and show utmost restraint and patience whenever any occasion of rift arises.
  • Advising all the students to refrain from, inciting students against other students, teachers and college administration
  • Advising all staffs to be affectionate to the students and not behave in a vindictive manner towards any of them for any reason.
